  • Who is Art in the QC for?

  • How can I use ArtintheQC.com to find local art events?
You can browse our Events Calendar to discover upcoming art shows, gallery openings, exhibitions, and more in Charlotte.
  • Why should I use Art in the QC’s calendar instead of other event listings?
Art in the QC is Charlotte’s only comprehensive visual art-focused event calendar. Unlike general event sites, we highlight gallery openings, exhibitions, artist talks, and independent artist creative happenings you won’t find elsewhere. Our listings are updated at least twice per week, and we also provide featured artist spotlights and social media coverage to keep you fully connected to the local art scene.
  • Is there a cost to using ArtintheQC.com?
No, our platform is free to use for visitors, galleries, and artists submitting events.
  • How often is the website updated?
Our calendar listings are updated at least twice per week. New artist spotlights are typically published twice per month.
  • What kind of events are permitted on the calendar?
We accept submissions for exhibition receptions, artist talks, pop-up shows, workshops, artist networking, open studios and other visual art events happening within a 30 mile radius of Uptown Charlotte. *We DO NOT list Sip & Paint events. There are multiple companies offering these events every single night of the week and the listings would simply overtake everything else. The best place to find these events is Eventbrite. *We only list markets in which 90%+ of the vendors are visual artists. We keep such a narrow scope for two reasons: 1. We believe Charlotte's visual artists are incredibly important and deserve a dedicated, undiluted platform to highlight their work and connect with the community. 2. As a community-driven initiative with no external funding, we operate on extremely limited resources and aim to provide the best possible service within our means. Our focus ensures we can offer meaningful support to the visual arts scene in Charlotte while keeping things manageable.
